Great for viewing the night sky or land based objects. Similar to the 10x50 but with a slightly narrower field of view and more magnification. Can be used hand-held or on a tripod.

These binoculars come with a free 24-page booklet "Stargazing with Binoculars" written by our own "Space Dave" (Dave Owen). This booklet tells you everything you need to get started.

What you can see

The Moon looks quite nice with some details.
Venus is a small disk but you can see the phases.
Mars is a very small disk.
Jupiter is a small disk. You can’t see weather bands but you can see the four Galilean moons.
Saturn is a very small elongated disk. You can’t really see the rings but the planet does look stretched out where the rings are.
Deep sky objects (nebulae etc) tend to be faint and fuzzy. Some star clusters such as the Jewel Box look nice enough. These binoculars have a narrower field of view than the 10x50s but they still provide a fairly wide view. Good for looking at bigger things such as star clusters, comets and parts of constellations.
