This is our cheapest “bare minimum” telescope. It can be used for astronomical viewing as well as looking at things on Earth (with the supplied adapter lens).
This telescope works but don’t expect to see a lot with it. You can see the planets as disks but only just - they're very small. Deep sky objects are visible but again, only just.
The main disadvantage with all cheap telescopes is that the tripod mount is not as sturdy and it's a lot trickier to line up celestial objects in the eyepiece. With practice you do get used to it but it will never be as easy to use as the more expensive mounts.
